The listing, 1929 N.Y.K Line Taiyo Maru Post Card, Sank by US Sub in WWII has ended.

Offered is a post card of the foormer steam ship Cap Finisterre, a pre World War I German transatlantic ocean liner which was transferred to Japan in 1920 as German war reparations, and renamed Taiyo Maru on trans-Pacific routes. She was sunk carrying Japanese troops and supplies an American submarine in 1942, during World War II. Between 1921 and the start of WWII, the ship made reglar runs between Japan and the United States and other countries in the Pacific. The card was mailed from Yokahoma, Japan by American passengers to a family in California. A highly collectible card. It has some wear on corners but othe wise in very good condition.
