Check this out: http://www.donorschoose.org -- lets you donate to classrooms across the country. Your gifts are tax deductible and they send the information in Jan for your taxes (i.e. you don't have to keep track yourself). Teachers request funding for specific supplies for their classrooms -- lets teachers think of a neat project and get funding for the supplies--and if YOU are a teacher, it would let you make donations to your own project and at least get a tax credit ... since so many teachers spend their own money on classroom supplies anyway!

Just kinda neat if you want to check it out ... look for projects in your home area, or for those for the neediest kids and schools!

I just told Charlotte you wanted to knit me something, and Charlotte would really like a pair of socks (before you get rid of all your sock yarn). Her host mom taught her to knit apparently, but she screwed up her face when I suggested you send her some yarn LOL. Socks must be kinda hard to knit though ....
