I was having a problem with the screen blanking out but I replaced the battery and seams to have fixed the problem. This computer is extremely awesome. I just got a new tablet and decided it was time to pass this one on. It will come with power cord and the new battery I bought. ($80)

If payment and shipping info are not received in 7 days of auction end, I will keep credits and relist item.

I know what this computer is worth so please do not ask me to lower GIN or starting bid. They are exactly where I want them. Thank you.

Fan me I fan back! Happy bidding!

You had someone to inquire about shipping to Canada. As an experienced seller, I can tell you that the shipping cost will be at least twice as much as domestic and that you will have to fill out a customs form. USPS no longer offers tracking or insurance for international shipments, due to multiple false claims. The customs form is valueless if the winner claims that they never received the laptop. For your own protection, I strongly suggest that you restrict your shipments to the US.

Nice auction.

Thank you for that information. I was unaware of that. I did however tell them that I would ship there. Is there a penalty for not doing so now, do you know?
Or do I just have to follow through? I never have encountered this type of situation.

What is the model number on this laptop? You can find it on the bottom of computer. All the other info people ask for (i.e. Windows version, RAM and processor) can be found under Start/Control Panel/System. Thanks in advance for the info. Fanned and watching.

I just shipped a pair of boots to Canada last week and they were insured up to $150 for free AND had tracking FYI. Filling out customs form was no different than filling out a shipping label. The shipping cost is twice as much but my winner happily paid it. I hadn't offered shipping to Canada and was a little peeved at first but as long as winner covers the $39.99 for a flat rate box it's really no big deal at all.

was this laptop purchased used? you said that it is only 2 yrs old, but dell has not packaged computers with windows xp for a very long time. what is the number on the top left of the case, after where it says "latitude"? the case design and the fact that it is running an operating system that is no longer being supported suggests that it is a far older model than 2 yrs.

E5400. I have already stated this. I got it from my school, as I stated before and I have had it for 2 years. It is in great condition. I was going to use it for my continuing education but fell in love with my tablet. Thanks for the question.

I encourage you to read one of my ads and its terms. I'm on the verge of being rude, but have received 99.9% overwhelming support for them. I've been selling online for about 14 years. People are happy to run all over you, especially if they perceive you an easy mark. I'm the type of person who doesn't care what people think, although I try to be professional. Set up staunch terms and stick by them. You will eliminate most problems.

Thank you so much. I always feel so bad when I turn people down, and Im a sucker for bending my own rules. I am getting better but, Im still working on it. I used to think some people were mean on here but now that I've been on for a little while, I'm understanding their positions. Thank you so much for the advice. I cannot thank you enough.

In no way am I implying that your Canadian is a potential scammer, but there are also thieves in the postal service. Canada has strict shipping guidelines but they are no more protective during transit than our own service. If a Canadian should win this auction, you are obligated to send the laptop; however, I would sacrifice positive feedback and would not. I would be honest with the Canadian and would ask if they could supply a United States address of a relative or a friend. If not, I would ask them to file a dispute against you so that you can refund their credits immediately. If they don't comply, the worst that can happen to you is to receive a negative.

Prior to auction's end, I suggest that you post an update to your ad page NOW, stating that you will not ship to Canada or any other country other than the US and why. You are the seller and in control until the auction ends. The ball is still in your court and you have the right to reneg before auction's end without any penalty whatsoever. Apologize with your update but be very clear. No international shipments, including CN, which is already indicated at the top of your page. No harm done.
