Description

The listing, Wii Mod/Soft unlock! has ended.

You are bidding on a 4gb SD card. It has been prepped with a FREE OPEN SOURCE solution for modding your Wii. I am providing the card itself (you need it) and the time it took to load it onto the card. Anything else is free.

Although I will support this rather painless process (instructions are included, basically means inserting the card and following some prompts) I can not warranty it. This techniquely voids your Wii warranty, but it can be restored completely as this is a software unlock.
I've enjoyed many backed up games on my Wii (I don't bother with discs, except for the 1 time). This is a painless process, and fun to boot!

So, who is going to be my next satisfied customer?

can you play backed up discs using this or do they have to be on an SD card?

You can play games using either this SD card or a different SD card or a removable USB hard drive. I keep about a dozen or so games on a 320GB drive. I could probably hold close to 100, possibly more. Wii games are relatively small. Smash Bro Melee was the first to actually need a dual layer DVD disc.

If this auction goes high enough, I may include some of my backups to save you the trouble of backing up your own discs.

Dustin! Wassup, man. Those are actually separate. This card unlocks the Wii, and then it is just a normal SD card. There wouldn't be any problem loading ANY 3rd party tools, including loader gamma. However, most backup/loaders require you to format the storage device if you are going to load ISO games. Burnt backups aren't a problem. The Wii has kind of it's own app store now, except everything is free. Just go into that repository (I believe you can get to it from the homebrew channel) and download the tools you need.
