The disc is in great condition. The case is in good shape too, except for a scratch through the UPC code down the back (can be seen in the pics).

I'm iffy on Kevin Kline flicks overall, but not iffy on this particular one...I enjoyed it, and it's definitely one of my favorite movies with him in it; it shows his dramatic film abilities rather than some of his goofy stuff. A good story about ethics, as well, which I enjoyed with my high schoolers. :)

The Emperor's Club is a 2002 drama film that tells the story of a prep school teacher and his students. Based on Ethan Canin's short story "The Palace Thief," the film is directed by Michael Hoffman and stars Kevin Kline. The film is set at a fictional boys' prep school, St. Benedict's Academy, located in Andover, Massachusetts. The film was filmed at Emma Willard School in Troy, New York
