The listing, Indigo Rose Tomatoe Seeds has ended.
The "Indigo Rose" tomato steps out this year as the first "really" purple variety to come from a program at Oregon State University that is seeking to breed tomatoes with high levels of antioxidants. A stunning new selection this season, the first ever truly dark purple tomato! As it ripens the underside turns from green to a rosy red. Flavor is great, strongly acidic and when sliced it looks just like a plum with its deep red flesh. The plants are vigorous and show good field resistance to fungal diseases and blights. The 2 – 2.5 ounce fruit grows on vines with nice clusters of 6-8 fruit. A new variety that is definitely worth a try. Indeterminate Be the first of your friends to grow this very rare, beautiful new introduction! 12 seeds
