@ mtlhdplayer - This drive was given to me by a friend. He took it out of a laptop that was working but had overheating issues (dead cooling fan). I have not done any tests to the drive, nor have I formated it. Just know that it booted up Windows 7 and seemed fine.

Word to wise as a computer refurbisher if you are going to sell a hard drive it is best to format it with a DOD_5220.22-M style program to remove all information on hard drive so no one can get any personal data from it

That is true. Thank goodness there is nothing of importance on the drive. I have no way to format the darn thing. :(
