I found this at an Estate sale the other day, and I couldn't pass up a chance to share it with Listia!

PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION, I AM NOT AN EXPERT:
This bag has NO SERIAL NUMER... However, there was a time in the very early vintage years of Coach, that the bags did not have serial numbers on the labels.
The best way to tell that a Coach bag with NO serial number is authentic is that it will usually be made of "Glove Tanned" leather.
It is so soft, yet durable and made to last a lifetime.It is 'cured' the same way that good old American baseball glove leather is cured, and that is why it is called 'glove tanned' . Most of the older, original Coach bags were made this way. It is the special "glove tanning" that made Coach famous in the first place. Coach does still 'glove tan' much of their leather , but not all. Many of the newer bags are made of the signature jaquard fabric. These new bags tend to be the ones that are often counterfeited, as they are easier and cheaper to make, than bags made of the "glove tanned leather."

This bag is in good condition considering its age.
Of course it shows some surface marking, minor indentations and darkening some areas.
In my opinion, this adds to the distinctive vintage flair of this bag. There is absolutely nothing wrong as far as tears, rips or loose threads.
The interior is very clean with only a few pen marks, no stains and no tears.
