I have an iPhone 3GS, and my son has the newest iPod touch. I believe it's a 5th gen. They both fit but it's made for an iPod.

So how does the shield connect with the rubber casing if there is only one piece? I'm just used to seeing a back and front plastic piece that connect around the phone and then the rubber goes over it
