UPDATE: im sorry it takes ONE battery. Also as i speak, i am listening to the radio and the tape.. so product is in newish working condition! doesnt have a port for a wall power cord. it is a SONY WALKMAN brand \. cosmetically: has a couple of minor scratches, but plays real well!

Does this take the reg. or mini cassettes? Also, can you listen to this without the head phones? Thanks

regular cassettes (not the mini that u go into the answering machine).... and no u need headphones or earbuds.. or you can run it into your stereo using a certain cord
