Is this for the PS1 or the PS2? I'm looking for a memory card to use with my recently acquired PS1 and have no clue if PS2 memory cards are compatible with the PS1.

I actually have two different ones. I have one for the PlayStation 2 and I have one for the PlayStation 1. But to answer your question, they can only be used for the correct game console. If you want the PlayStation 1 MB card, I will send that one instead of the PlayStation 2 MB card.
