Hi, It can go either way. It tells you how to make it 'virgin' style (non-alcoholic) and then if you want it with alcohol the recipe tells you what type to use, how much and when to add it when you are putting the drink together. Hope that helps.
These look really amazing serve and really good to enjoy! (I know my family will love to try them... even if the ones we make don't turn out just like the picture -- LOL)
As long as you pour the contents in the cup in the same order as the recipe calls for, it's pretty hard to mess us the way it looks when it comes out. I think that hardest thinking is curling the orange peel. That one normally takes me a few tries. If it is too much of a pain, you can always skip the curled orange peel part and either just drop a cherry on the top of the drink or cut banana/orange slices and push the straw through the center of a banana/orange slice for garnishment.
Very cool. I don't thnk I've ever tried to curl an orange peel, but I can make some cute looking ribbons for gifts so I guess I at least have that practice to fall back on! i'm sure my husband would get a kick out of watching me concentrate on the "presentation"
