Not at all. Just use it like you're carressing a bald head. lol It fits great in the hand and you just cup it over the veggie and glide. It's the same movement you do when you're rinsing a veggie.

This is the best tool any kitchen could have....I found them again here after I bought my 1st worked sooo well I bought 4 more of them so I could have one for a very long time...I've been using same one n my kitchen for over a year and still works as good as the 1st day I bought it!!!
