For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.
When Jesus laid down His life on the cross, He did so to break the chains of sin and death that once held you captive. His victory means that you no longer have to live under the yoke of slavery to fear, guilt, or shame. Instead, you can embrace the freedom He offers—a freedom that enables you to live boldly and intentionally for Him.
God, thank you for refreshing me. Please humble my heart and help me turn to you instead of trusting in my own strength. I can't grant myself forgiveness or refresh my own soul, but you can. Give me a clean heart that desires to serve you more than my selfish desires. And when I sin, help me realize your great love for me and let me turn to you. In Jesus' name, amen
