No it comes up and starts to format but gets stuck about half way through every time and goes nowhere Or it says there are errors on the drive and quits...; I gave up

This is actually relatively easy to fix, just as long as there are no corrupted files in there. It can be done with corrupted files, but it is a lot harder that way. I can completely understand you wanting to get rid of it, most people do. It is a hell of a lot easier to just buy a new one. lol. Fanned and watching btw, great auction.
