This is an interesting item. I did some research and apparently this is some sort of special USB Floppy drive. It can read/write to standard 733kb, or 1.44mb 3.5" floppy discs, OR, it can also read/write to it's own proprietary 120mb discs which also look like floppy discs in appearance.

The advantage of using this drive to read/write to the older floppies as opposed to a normal floppy drive was that this drive used the faster IDE interface instead of the traditional interface found on standard floppy drives.

Note #1 Any read/write speed boost to be had due to the internal IDE controller may be negated by the USB connection on this drive.

Note #2 Amazon still carries the 120MB "SuperDisks", 3 for 47 dollars.
