The listing, Vintage KYOTO HOTEL Breakfast Menu ~ Thursday, July 28, 1955 ~ English and Japanese Kanji has ended.
Offered for bidding is a 4" by 6" cardstock menu from 1955 Japan: The KYOTO HOTEL. Dated July 28th, 1955, it is a breakfast menu typed in both English and Kanji (Asian characters). It's a pretty typcial English breakfast, one that catered to the many Americans in Japan who were in the military. It actually looks quite yummy, especially the hot bisquits with honey (certainly not typcial Japanese fare!).
My uncle was in the military in the late 50s-early 60s and brought tons of interesting brochures and such back to us kids at home in the states. He was also an artist and loved touring the 'arts' of Japan. I am also listing other brochures, so please check them out (I'll mail all together if you win!).
Comes to you in mint vintage conditon with no damage, from a non-smoking pet-free home . . . with free shipping in the US!
NOTE: I will only ship to Listia-verified addresses, so please do not email me after closing. Thanks!
