What do you mean, "12.5% of 90% fine silver"? I'm sorry, I don't understand.

I was just saying nice auction, this coin is said to have 90% fine silver content in it and they say it was the last year it was minted. :-)

Where did that 12.5% come in? You left that out of your explanation.

STRUCK IN HIGHLY PURE SILVER – This last-year-of-issue 1963 Franklin Half Dollar was Struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 12.5 grams of 90% fine silver and measured 30.6 mm in diameter. This was all I was saying, it was a compliment. sheesh lol Anyway nice auction was all this was meant to be. Best of luck, sorry if my words were confusing.

"12.5 % of 90% fine silver" was super confusing. You meant grams instead of percent.I had no idea. Thanks for clarifying.

PLEASE NOTE: This coin is 90% silver and NOT 12.5% silver. Please stop messaging me about this. The person in the comments meant "grams" instead of percent. This is a standard silver coin.
