This is a dated piece but I think it gives the item a great deal of character

...are you sure this is from Norway? I've never seen the Royal Crest/ Coat of Arms with the crown on the bottom like that...

If you notice the handle on the box that's usually where a butler would hold and extend his arm towards his superiors to hand them various things, towels, trinkets, etc.

hey good question i said the same thing but when it was given to me Huldra77: thats what i was told so it's advertised as such. also the crest was subject to change through various heraldic times and I thought that was the case with this very crest. in he end, what you see is what you get so if you don't want it dont bid
