The listing, Vintage Sterling Flip Ring w/ Cubic Zirconia on One Side – Emerald on Reverse has ended.
Up for bid is a sterling flip ring in nice condition. It has an S with a line through it on the inside of each band, which I had to look up.
“A ring with an "S" with a line through it on the inside band typically indicates that the ring is made of sterling silver; the "S" represents silver, and the line through it is a common symbol used to signify the "sterling" quality, which means the silver is 92.5% pure mixed with other metals to enhance its durability.”
Then I did then find some similar flip rings listed as sterling. Just wanted to make sure before I listed.
It’s in nice shape. Don’t see any damage. Gemstones are all there. Flipping mechanism works well. Estate auction purchase; measures size 8 on my ring sizer. I have not cleaned it, it is just as purchased.
However the one cubic zirconia (was supposed to be) must have fallen out at one time and has a bit of glue on the one edge. You can notice this on the second photo. It is the stone at the bottom of the diamond shape.
The stone is not damaged, but when it was replaced, some of the glue got along the edge. This is my guess. I don’t think it originally came that way, but I had to look with a loop to see what the shadow was. Otherwise, it is not really noticeable.
I’m fairly sure the green stone is a created stone and not a real emerald. Smoke-free item.
