Street Fighter 2 started it all for me and I don't think if I haven't played this I might not be into fighting games but I'm proud to say that Street Fighter is the one who started a passion for me for Fighting games.

My favorite fighting game series are 5.Tekken,4.Bloody Roar 3.Dead Or Alive 2.Mortal Kombat 1.Street Fighter.

Street Fighter to me is the master of how a fighting game should be made

All the others I like. Except for Mortal Kombat...for some reason the stiff moments really take me out of the game.

That's a very good point street fighter has a fast system where the fighters go at it fast and hard to give each other a run for their money

Fair enough not everybody is going to like Mortal Kombat but can't deny the impact the series has made on the Video Game World, still Street Fighter is my top favorite nothing is ever going to take it away from being number 1 for me

oh don't get me wrong, MK was very influential to the fighting game genre, it was just lost on me. lol
SF for me just seems more fluid in movement and timing, where MK seems stiff and rigid when pulling off moves. Most of that has to do with the Digitized chracters, but the later games (like 4) where they go away from the 2D models fells the same to me, even though you can side step.
