Miniature Jade 'Monstruosa', over 20-year-old exemplar in picture jade plant, friendship tree, lucky plant, money plant or 'Elephant Bush'.

Can be trained as bonsai by simply plucking off new growth, and removing the leaves from the stem,
eventually, the stem will harden and form a kind of woody "caudex", or a woody trunk. After it is trained, new growth is usually hampered by the pot-bound roots, which need minimal trimming.

This beautiful variety will grow into a medium sized bush and will bloom from time to time with small pink flowering stalks. Makes a good container plant as well as a landscaping screen, Easy Care!.

This versatile plant can be used in full sun 120 degrees fahernheit or semi-shade in dry areas or even in well-watered flowerbeds. It can tolerate temperatures bellow 40 degrees and a moderate degree of frost, especially when mature. Baby jade can withstand long periods without water.

This is one of the easiest plants to reproduce. If any of the trimmings that you remove from your bush are left on the soil they will root in a few weeks. Large cuttings can also be rooted. Keep them in a semi-shaded location until rooted.

The stalks will be sent wraped in a paper towel in a plastic bag moistened with tap water, will be ready to be transplanted in to soil as desired. Keep in mind each item is perishable and immediate care is needed to preserve the life of the plant.
