Questions & Comments
http://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-Digital-Flat-Amplified-Antenna/10983718 .... This is the antenna I use, It is $21.96 cents and works great.
This DTV converter box hooks up to your analog television set and over-the-air antenna. The box converts the digital television signal into an analog format, making it viewable on your analog TV set. Digital to Analog converter boxes are devices that takes a digital signal and converts it so that it can be displayed on an analog television. The reason why there is a need for a digital converter box is that the federal government has required all television broadcasters to end the transmission of analog signals on Feb. 17, 2009. So if you have an analog television, it will need to have a digital converter box connected to it for the reception of the new over-the-air digital signal
To make it easy if you want to hook up an antenna or "rabbit ears" you have to have this Digital Converter Box and of course an outdoor/ indoor antenna. I have an RCA amplified indoor antenna (that's smaller than a basketball) I purchased at Walmart for 25.00 bucks that works amazing. You run a piece of coax cable from your antenna to this box and you pick up free over-the-air digital TV channels. This converter box has nothing to do with internet . I hope this helps and thanks for your interest.
Yes, It had a remote but I (myself) ruined it by not taking the batteries out of remote before I put it in storage. A cheap universal remote you can buy at Walmart or Radio Shack will work for this box. The brand of this box is Digital Stream and the model # is DTX9950 .
http://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-RCR504BR-4-Device-Palm-Sized-Universal-Remote/21054244....... Olliedh I did some research, This is the link for a universal remote that works for this converter box. Its the RCA-RCR504BR 4-DEVICE PALM SIZED UNIVERSAL REMOTE it sells for 7.88 cents at Walmart. Thanks for your interest and hope this helps. Any other questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer. Thanks again
FLOWER2 .... I posted a picture of the box connected to my TV, It was difficult to hold the DTV box in camera view, A verification paper with my name on it in the camera view, and hold the camera and push the button to take the picture but I got it. Thanks for your interest and Walmart sells a universal remote that works for this box. The price is 7.88 cents
Could u get the remote and verify all works together, caus this is 'no good' without the proper remote.. this has to have a remote to work im sure ud get more bids too..
I used this box without the remote. It has the buttons on top to change the channels and everything else you need to do and this box is good I guarantee it.
