How do you use it, what do you put it on?

I never used it but my friend did and she happy with it. (Which is why I bought it but never got to use) She used to cover a metal box and on a small wall. I think you can use it on any surface which is not slippery. For example, you can sand something with a glaze until it is rough and then it will adhere.
