Bead for Life hand painted necklace. New! Necklace is 20" long and each bead is about 3/4" wide. Each bead has a hand painted zebra on it. These necklaces are made in Uganda by women using recycled calenders and magazines. They receive 100% of the profits made from the sales of this jewelry! They are able to supply their families with food, clean water, medicine, school supplies, and clothing. It's eradicating poverty one bead at a time!

Well thank you! I feel the same way! I have a small gift shop and it cannot be all about me. I have never felt good about stuff like that. These women are so happy to be able to feed their families. They don't want handouts. they make shey butter products too and some of the women walk five miles to where they have to pick the nuts but they are more than happy to do it. Then i get to thinking about how lazy we can be. imagine working that hard just to put bread on the table and shoes on your kids feet. If you win I'll send some literature.
