Description

The listing, *EXOTIC* BITTER MELON SEEDS!! HERBAL REMEDY has ended.

This auction is for 8 bitter melon seeds. The bitter melon is popular in Asia and the Caribbean. It is a tropical to sub tropical fruit, so I don't know if you can grow it just anywhere in the USA! It is used in stir fry, soups and tea. I found many recipes using it on Wikipedia. I tried it, it was okay, but it apparently also has some medicinal properties as well. It is among the most bitter fruits, and is sometimes used in place of hops in some Asian beers. I thought it would be something different to offer here on Listia. Happy bidding! All items as described.* NOT* from a smoke free or pet free home, so, if this is a problem for you, please do not bid. Please be prompt with shipping info.I will ship within seven days of receiving it. unless arranged otherwise. Thanks!

Yes, that is helpful-- thank you! We're headed to Zone 3... I'm thinking I'd better get a greenhouse LOL!

I'm out of credits @ the moment, but should have some soon.
Have you tried growing these in MA? How'd it go? What's your growing season like there?

Thank you for your interest! I think we are zone 9 (?). I didn't grow them, but my friend did and they did well this last season. He said he started them early, in flats. Our season is about from May 15 (sometimes we can't plant till June 1) through the beginning of October at the longest season. Is this helpful? If these do okay on this auction, I have a few more!
