Description

The listing, 15 Handmade envelopes from recycled magazine pages has ended.

This auction includes the group of 15 handmade envelopes shown in the photo.

Ten are approximately 5 3/4" x 4 1/4" (notecard size) and five are approximately 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" (a bit bigger than gift cards).

They've been made from recycled magazine pages, with two different folding styles (shown in pic 2).

These make a unique way to present thank-you notes, gift cards and other small treats, such as stickers, button pins, etc. They also work well for keeping small craft supplies sorted (pins, beads, findings, etc.).

The winner will need adhesive to seal the back flap when the goodies are inside. I prefer using clear Scotch tape because it doesn't conflict with the patterns, but stickers can also make a cute closure. The larger ones can go through regular postal mail; just seal securely and ensure the mailing address is legible (if the pattern is 'busy' you can use mailing labels).

I have a smoke-free, pet-free home.

Shipping is free. My shipping days are Tuesdays and Fridays; therefore,
*Auctions closing Friday - Monday will be shipped Tuesday
*Auctions closing Tuesday - Thursday will be shipped Friday

I used to do these....they are a lot of fun to play and work with. I was constantly running out magazine covers (I wanted mine to be stiffer than a magazine page.
I really would like these. Did you ever think of signing up for some of those FREE catalogs and if you did would they work for envelopes?
Have a wonderful day. Neda

Thanks for your comment, Neda! i like using covers too, although they don't adhere as well as pages with the type of glue I use. I haven't thought about using catalogs, but I imagine they would work as well as magazines, depending on the layout of them (I imagine gardening or travel catalogs might be good, while pharmaceutical or clothing might be tougher to capture). I subscribe to five or so magazines, so generally have plenty to work with and like to keep as much as possible from going into landfills. I also make paper beads with the pages; I haven't posted any yet, but have some ready and likely will post them soon. :)

You're right some of those travel magazines not only have a great cover but some are really loaded on the inside. But why are you saying they go to the landfill? We have to recycle All of our paper and cardboard in Marana, AZ. It doesn't go to waste. Where do you live?

It's great that it's mandatory where you are! I live in Tennessee and am home-bound at the moment so my options are limited. The closest place to recycle that I've found is about 30 miles away.
