The listing, YARN MADE FROM SCRAP FABRIC has ended.

I make these balls of yarn out of a mix of woven and knit materials. I would say each ball is roughly 20 yards of yarn. You can clasp both hands around one yarn ball. You can use it to make knitted rag rugs or braid it to make something. They turn out really awesome if you leave the tied knots. Adds a lot of texture. The yarn is about 1/2 in thick. I am offering 3 balls of a blue, red, white, taupe, green, gold mix for this auction. I can make you custom color themed, size, and length yarn to your specifications if you want to order more. Just shoot me a message. Only $2.50 a ball :) (30 yard balls are $3.50)

how far apart are the knots?

The distance varies. There are some knots as close as 5 inches and the farthest being 20 in. Once its all knit up it looks great. I will post a photo of a rug I made with my yarn. (Rug is not currently for sale or auction)

I used round needles which are awesome :) You should use bigger needles. I cast on 62 in case I need to drop or combine a couple stitches. I just ignored the knots and knit away. I trimmed the ties just a little afterwards. The rug looks good on both sides. It takes about 20 yarn balls to make a rugs that is 28 x 36. I can make you enough yarn to make a rug if you want :D 20 balls x $2.50 = $50.00.
