The listing, Hard Drive has ended.
Never used just opened it to show what it looks like. Bought this when I had a CPU but never used it just decided to give the CPU back to rent a center.
A 2.5" is for a laptop, a 3.5" is for a Tower computer. "BUT" a 2.5" laptop Hard drive will work without flaws in a tower computer.Just not the other way around. They make a SATA to IDE converter bar/ or ribbon cables. SATA is Backward compatable with IDE Except it will be slower then what you are used to. I build gaming rigs.
I feel you, alot of redundit questions, however i am relatively new and willing to do the research can a sata be coverted backwards to a IDE what info do i need to gather from my system to make this determination i'll do the leg work and time investment thank you for your patience
The hd itself is not a hp,it's a seagate hardrive, she it must have came from Hewlett Packard at somepoint, seagate puts the capacity and model on the hd
its a 2.5 inch drive yes it will fit in a laptop and paulanapier71 i have a dell inspiron 1525 so it should fit in it cause thats what size the hard drive is that i have for mine.
