A set of 8 Magic: The Gathering Vanguard cards. These cards are about 1.8 times the size of regular Magic cards. They are used to bring a bit of variety to the game. You and your opponent randomly choose a Vanguard card before the start of the game. It modifies your: hand size (number in lower left-hand corner), starting "life" (number in lower right-hand corner), and each one has a different effect, i.e. your creatures can't be the target of your opponent's spells or abilities, all of your creatures have haste, etc. The land card is there for size reference. I just priced these cards. On the high end they, all together, are worth around 30$. On the low end they are worth about 18$. But regardless of worth, they add a fun new side to each and every game you play.
