Also let me mention that it was used for 4 months but still in perfect condition,and if i can't find the original software disk I will put it on a disk to send with the adapter. Blue cap covering the USB plug is not included

Thought I would give the winner a choice! I also have a Linksys WUSB54GSC With Speedbooster. This adapter is in new condition as well, Winner can choose which of the 2 they want to receive when the auction ends. Figured you may want the speedbooster feature. No it will connect to any wifi location that is in range as long as the owner doesn't have the connection password protected

Hi I'm not real computer smart so can you tell me do u have to have wireless internet for this to work and this will allow you to have the internet anywhere out side of my home right ? I have wireless in my home right now but have wanted to be able to take my laptop to many other places so will this allow me to do that ? Anything you can tell me would b appreciated because I know nothing about these but have wanted one for the outside use.

Ok Yea this will allow you to have internet away from home. How it works is if you have internet in your home with a wireless router box you can connect anywhere in your home by plugging in this adapter. As for away from home it works the same way except you will be connecting through someone else router box. You can actually be in a residential area and connect using a router signal from someone's home BUT if their connection is password protected you will not be able connect without a password which you wouldn't be able to get. Basically away from home unless you are at someone's home or whatever with a router you will only be able to connect at places or business that offer Free Wifi. Some places that offer free Wifi atleast where i have used it is McDonalds,Wendy's, Most hotels and motels offer it, most anyplace of business offers Wifi if you notice you will see many places advertising wifi and as long as your in signal range you will be able to connect. Now if you are looking for it to connect while your at the beach, on vacation in the mountains, or on a road trip (driving down the road) you will not be able to connect, to be able to connect in remote areas you would need a wireless modem such as most wireless retailers offer like Alltel,Verizon,and AT&T Hope this helps
