No, but that's incorrect. This comes with the limited edition but is just a fourteen day trial of gold to encourage you to buy a 12 month membership. You DON'T NEED HALO 4 to use the code.

Ok lol, what does this "gold trial" give you? I just bought my boyfriend an Xbox 360 halo 4 edition bundle last night for Christmas. I want to get him Xbox live cards and stuff also, but what is this?

The Xbox halo 4 bundle does not necessarily have this because this came with the LIMITED edition of halo 4. And the Xbox bundle only comes with the STANDARD edition.
