The listing, Herbs Guide has ended.
This auction is for a PDF copy of a very useful herb reference. (You can download Adobe Reader free if you need a program to read and print PDF files.) In this ebook you will find information on each herb such as common names, Latin names, what it is used for, how it is used, what science says about each one, side effects and cautions for each herb. This guide has become a favorite part of my Book of Shadows as a reference for potions I make so that I will have an idea of what side effects might occur with ingestion. (I am certainly not, by any means, suggesting that you eat any herbs and you would be doing so at your own risk. Some people do have allergies to some herbs.)
Here is what the introduction page says:
Many people take herbal supplements to boost their immune systems, treat allergy symptoms, prevent a cold—all in an effort to be well and stay healthy. There are hundreds of herbal supplements available in the grocery store or pharmacy or for sale on the Internet. And, there are many claims about their health benefits. How can a consumer decide what’s safe or effective? This booklet will give you a basic understanding of some of the most common herbs in popular dietary supplements—their historical uses, what they’re used for now, the scientific evidence on their effectiveness, and side effects or cautions for you to consider. To manage your health, you need to be an informed consumer. Learn about herbal supplements and talk with your health care providers about everything you are doing to stay well.
This will be emailed to the winner within 24 hours of the winner providing me with their email address for delivery. I can also copy this into a plain text document for anyone who does not have, is not able, or does not wish to download Adobe Reader. Thank you for looking!
