Thanks Starbaby! Unless you have the mouse hovered on comment, you do not see the reply button. Good to know. I didn't know you had left more comments, no email alert if someone leaves a comment?
No, you don't get an email notification, you have to check manually. The long menu on the left side of your main activity page? Look under "comments" and it will let you know if you have any waiting to be addressed. If you made a comment/asked a question on someone else's auction, you will not see a number next to that option, but you will get an email notification. Backwards, I know.
And yep, the new (as of this week) page change to the comments, you can't see the reply option anymore, which really sucks. I'm not sure how they expect new people to be able to find it now. I just switched over to the new view two days ago, so I could get used to it.
As for edits, you can only edit the body of the auction when it doesn't have any bids on it, which is a good safeguard, so you can't change auction terms when there are existing bids. You can, however, do an update, which will post just below the main body of the auction.
Thank you so much, I'm not sure if I'm on top of all this...think I might have to stay w my local swap and shop...I don't see a main activity page...lol, don't see updates either...guess it's a matter of getting used to the site...we can't see what the bid credit #'s are? I don't see any amounts listed for my item....I's confused!!! But thanks for trying to help this newbie numbnuts!!
Judy - newbie info... Look under my comment for a "reply" button and use that to reply to the comment in the future. I don't know why this isn't on the newbie Listia instructions, because no one ever finds this out until someone tells them. When you hit the reply button, the person will get notification you replied to the comment. If you reply in a separate comment, they'll never see it. I just checked in on you to see how your first auction was going and noticed you tried to reply. Remember, if you have questions, just shoot me a note, okie dokie?
