The listing, Antique Spice Tin and Vintage Earrings has ended.
Vintage tin:
Front label says "Slade's Red Pepper" and "Guarenteed pure and to give perfect satisfaction". The side panel (which I couldn't get any clearer) says "Office of State Assayer, Boston, Oct.18th 1888", and also says "This may certify that we have examined samples and found them to be absolutely pure and of -------(can't read the last part). One side has a corner of the label torn off (last picture) and the tin looks like it may have been kept near a fire-darkening the label a bit.
Vintage earrings:
Vintage thermometer earrings are about 1 1/2" long. The backing is actually cardboard, but the thermometer looks as if it may have really worked at one time. Has screw-back posts with white stone attached.
Vintage pink and brown enamel earrings framed in gold-tone (no markings, but these have not tarnished in all the years they've been used, so maybe real gold?) are from the 80's (even, possibly, the 60's or 70's), 3/4" long.
The last pair of earrings are NOT vintage. They are tiger's eye and silver-tone Avon earrings with a clip back post.
