Have the original Sims game to go with the expansion pack or is it not needed?

I can answer that for you Jamers, You will need the original Sims game to install these expansions, also, you should install them in exact order to get the most out of them, something weird that EA did was that later expansions contain certain bits of coding from previous expansions so when you don't install them in exact order they work but have lots of glitches....hope this helps :)
