Seriously, do. I have gathered as much info on these headphones as possible...do not bid if you don't know what you are bidding on. ASK QUESTIONS, after reading the description.

DO NOT ASK ME if these headphones work. They do. I would not risk my feedback rating to auction something that was broken.

These are almost new, very gently used over about a 2 week period. My husband bought them and liked the sound but felt they were large and that the cord was too long (it's over 8 feet, so I can see his point...) I can't find any faults on them other than that they are a little dusty from lack of use.

THESE WOULD MAKE SUCH A NICE GIFT!

Have you had a hearing test done where they sit you in a sound proof "box"? That is the most accurate test and will tell you what percentage of hearing is gone. And based on that test will determine what type of aide would be best for you as there are different kinds.

Aww thank you. I was embarrassed when I got my first pair when I was in my 20s. Took me half my life before I would get some. When they came out with the smaller kind was when I finally did it. And now I have the ITC tiny pair that can only be seen if someone is standing on either side of me.

My Dad had a hearing problem, and had a hearing aid as early in my life as I can remember. I don't know if I am embarrassed or overwhelmed by the process. I guess I need to just push myself over the hump and deal with getting some help. Thanks for your kind words! :)

Nice auction!!! I would outbid but the jack won't work on my iphone :-( I need over the ear headset because I can't use the ones that come with the iphone due to hearing aides.

OK I just did some research on the net and these have 3.5mm jack. I seen this in your description "a 2.5m extension cord" so thought that was the jack size.

I also had a fear of people staring. I lived most of my life without them and family learned to either speak up or stand in front so I could read their lips. The main thing that pushed me to get them was my first child. When I realized I couldn't hear him cry in another room and started to make me think my child was not gonna say his first word and me not hear it. Lol now that my children are teenagers I can just take my aides out and drown out the noise :-) my husband says it isn't fair cause he has to still listen to them.

They definitely take getting used to. It was overwhelming at first. I remember when I first put them in the doc had me go outside and for the first time in my life I heard birds chirping. And could hear the tires on the road as cars drove by. It was awesome but overwhelming at the same time. I could hear things I grew up not hearing but my brain couldn't "soak" the noises in.

In fact on our way home I took the aides out cause the sounds bothered me. I couldn't wear them full time at first, it was something I had to get used to hearing new sounds.

I can imagine that would be odd! I have a reduced ability to hear that is not as pronounced, so I will not hear birds for the first time...that must have been AMAZING! I miss things that people say a lot, which causes me great social discomfort. :( I think my ability to read lips may be more developed than I realized, however, as I am noticing lately that I have a lot more difficulty hearing someone who has turned away from me.
