Yes, it works. It just doesn't heat up extremely hot like I like them.

It gets hot, but as I stated, not as hot as I like it, which I like my flat irons to heat up to 450 degrees. I think this one only heats up to maybe 375, which is the temperature that most cheaper Revlon brands heat up to.
