Wanted to verify the authenticity of this piece before listing it. My thinking was ‘in the box’ because I don’t see old jade that much, I see only the fine finished pieces from an estate collection.
This is the only piece to be antique. So , that’s what we have up for bid.

I can’t really figure out the carving. Sometimes it looks like a fish, sometimes a dragon, so whoever wins it can figure out, but the carving is very well done- kind of raw, which makes sense because of kind of tools that were being used back then. This piece has sort of a grey tinge to it. And it is translucent.

Not noticeble in the pics is a 1 clean pinhole near the edge.
The medallion measures a perfect 2” x 2”.
