This auction is for 20 SEEDS

Common name(s) : EDIBLE HIBISCUS
-aka- Sweet Hibiscus, Aibika, Palmate-leaved Hibiscus, Sunset Muskmallow, Sunset Hibiscus

Botanical name(s) : Abelmoschus manihot / syn : Hibiscus manihot

This plant is a member of the same family as OKRA ! This is an easy plant to start from seed, cuttings or roots. Seeds should be started outside in summer in regular soil with sand mixed in. When seedlings are about 12'' tall, plant in the ground about 30'' apart. Mulch, and water in every morning for a week. These should grow like crazy, when they are as tall as you, they can droop after rain. You can now trim these down to about 8''-12'' from the base. I prune the outter branches shorter than inner to give new growth ample room to spread. Remember everywhere you cut, that branch will probably send out three new shoots. this plant should go at the back of your bed-garden, and can be planted in full sun or part-shade.

Height : 4-6 ft. (1.2-1.8 m)

Spacing : 24-36 in. (60-90 cm)

Hardiness : USDA Zones 8b to 15°F (-9.4 °C) - - Zone 11, to 40°F (4.5 °C)

Sun Exposure : Sun to Partial Shade

I never have tried this plant, I'm looking for all kinds of edible plants for my next season garden and love to eat/drink just about anything once. Is it used for tea and what parts of the plant is edible?
