Welcome to an Auction by BabyBeeJou Boutique - Love being part of this fun, friendly community! Happy Holidays to you and yours! =)

Included in this auction:

This Brooch is absolutely stunning - pictures don't even do it justice. Would love to see this go to someone who will truly appreciate it as I simply have too many little family collectibles that sit in boxes all the time. This one in particular belonged to one of my many Great Aunts and she and her husband were deeply involved in the Masons, Eastern Star and the Rainbow Girls - The little medal on this brooch has a symbol that makes me think it may have something to do with the chapter/section of their particular group but I am not 100% sure - If any of my fellow Listians recognize the symbol - would love to hear from you =)

The brooch measures 3.5 inches height and 2 inches wide - It is gold toned (no obvious markings). I've added lots of detail pictures of the lovely piece - enjoy! Would make a truly special Christmas gift!

Smoke free and pet free environment! No returns accepted. Feedback provided always! =)

Shipping address must be provided through Listia.

Shipping for this auction: Free in the USA. Exact shipping cost for Canada and Int'l.

Method of Shipment is USPS with delivery confirmation. All Items Ship from Oregon 97601. May also be picked up in person!

Thank you so much for your prompt and detailed answer! :)
I have mailed over 100 packages to the US and never lost one (fingers crossed, lol!), whether by first class airmail or registered. Funnily enough, often the registered mail takes longer to arrive, it appears to draw more attention! And packages sent to India, the Phillipines, Russia, Australia and Indonesia also got there. :)
As for receiving them, I got everything that came from Etsy or from friends, most of what I got from eBay, and about half of the things I got from Listia, including two missing packages that I paid priority shipping for. I'm sure it wasn't the sellers' fault, but I believe the problem was in the packaging or the labeling. There should be a customs declaration, and standard procedure for items from Listia is to declare no commercial value (as no money changed hands) and mark it as a gift. My friends in the US were told the same at their post offices. That also draws a lot less attention from potential thieves!
Anything that rattles will be opened at customs, and may end its days there. There should always be a return address, too. Over here the post office won't accept any mail without one.
Very thin items, like stickers or thin charms, I usually wrap in plastic and tape to the inside of a greetings card, then send it letter mail. Anything thicker is enclosed in bubble wrap or similar and sent in a padded envelope, and very fragile items are boxed with plenty of packing. That seems to work well.
I have relatives in Brazil and shipping there or from there takes absolute ages, but nearly everything gets to its destiny. It's very possible that in South America, where the US is perceived as a very rich country, goods coming from the US may be seen by opportunists as a quick way to get some rich pickings...

Beautiful, and so unique! Would international shipping also have delivery confirmation (expensive!) or be first class mail? And do you use Paypal? Thanks!

Hi Teresa! I do have Paypal - As far as shipping International - I have not done any Int'l shipping for Listia yet so I don't have a lot of experiences to go by. My preference would be to ship via a method with some form of delivery confirmation but I know that registered mail adds on another $10-$12 - At minimum would want to add on certificate of mailing which is only a couple dollars. First class would be fine - Do you have a lot of experience receiving packages from the US? And if so, do they usually arrive without problems? I ask because we have family in South America and they only receive maybe 1 out of every 3 parcels shipped without issues. =)

Lovely brooch but i do not think it is related to Easter Star. My family is all Masons, Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls. It resembles some of the brooches awarded to members but it would have a Easter Star marking either on the front or the back. Still it is a wonderfully beautiful brooch and would make a excellant Christmas gift.

Thank you =) I still think it may be related to the Masons Chapter they belonged to - they were very high level members so thinking this was a brooch/medal awarded them but I am very hopeful someone will see the symbol on it and know for sure..Tried Google but it is very hard to describe a medal with shield and dots =). Appreciate your comment!

>>> That what Teresa said above is absolutely correct, specially about South America: some envelopes I sent to Argentina for a chilhood friend arrived open and had missing parts; other for my father, they (Argentinian "Custom") asked him to pay for, even when I already had paid for... really ...shameless
