Description

The listing, Aquilegia flabellata 'Alba' Seeds, White Fan Columbine Seeds has ended.

A cute mini columbine in pure white! This is such a pretty plant and it's so easy to grow. The foliage is pretty too, a nice blue-green.
Sow the seed in late winter either in pots or right into your garden in the spring. Place the pots outdoors for a cold stratification for germination in the spring. Plant out seedlings when large enough into a partly shaded garden with good rich soil. They will self-sow when happy!

do you water them when planting now or leave them dry?

All seed must be kept moist after sowing or they'll die. so water after sowing and keep moist until germination. Or if you put the pot outside for the winter and it snows right away you're all set until spring!

ok..so i can plant these in the spring if I keep them watered until germination? or should i keep the seeds in a bag outside till spring? it doesn't snow here very often and will stay below freezing for only a couple days here in texas.

I would sow them into a pot of good potting mix. Keep the soil moist, but not sopping wet. Put the pot outdoors in the shady protected spot for the winter. they should germinate in a month or two.
