Description

The listing, iPod Nano 3rd generation 8 GB light blue (needs backlight repaired) has ended.

Please read the entire description, as I am auctioning this used iPod Nano 3rd Generation with 8 GB as is:

I tested this ipod to make sure it syncs with iTunes correctly and in syncs and holds my mp3s, iTunes U lectures, podcasts, and playlists. I also tested it on a docking station speaker where the input is the bottom slot of the ipod and with a ipod voice recorder.

This ipod has several cosmetic flaws from wear and tear. The upper front corners have silver showing. The front blue part has many light scratches. The back of the ipod is quite scratched up. The screen is not scratched at all.

The issue with this ipod is that the backlight is broken, but it can be repaired! Apple, many electronics stores, kits that techies can use, and many online companies that offer ipod and/or backlight repairs quite quickly are availble. If you look closely at two of the pictures, you can tell that if you have sufficient lighting, you can see and scroll to particular playlists, songs, etc. and choose what you'd like to play. There other minor problem with its functionality is that when I plug in headphones or attach it via a cord to speakers, I occasionally have to jiggle the output part of the cord because at a certain position, the sound doesn't pick up the treble perfectly or sometimes has a bit of static. However, it's easy to fix by turning the input part of the cord slightly, and one corrected, it works perfectly. I have to jiggle headphones on my new ipod (I did buy cheap headphones).

This ipod comes with a USB cable that works well and still looks quite nice as well as the Quick Start guide.

This ipod can be easily repaired or used for parts. I would have fixed it myself if my brother hadn't given my his old 3rd gen nano when he got an iphone.

I will ship using the least expensive USPS service for the winner's particular address (including insurance and delivery confirmation).

Thank you for looking!

JaidynMommy, I am so grateful that you asked that question! I had listed the cost of a flat rate small USPS priority mail box with delivery confirmation and insurance included, and that cost was lower than parcel post to the four zip codes I used as examples (one in Los Angeles, one in Dallas, one in the middle of Alaska, and one in Honolulu). For example, the flat rate with insurance and delivery confirmation to Dallas in $7.95 vs. Parcel Post with insurance and delivery confirmation, which would cost $16.83. However, your question caused me to double check my logic, and I realized that using my own small box and shipping via USPS Priority Mail is usually even cheaper than the flat rate box. Thus, I am changing it to exact shipping and will use the USPS shipping service that costs the least amount of money according to the buyer's address. I apologize for not realizing my mistake earlier. Thank you again.

If anyone interested would like to know the exact cost of shipping that he or she would pay should he or she win this auction, please either comment with your zip code or send me a private message with your zip code, and I will happily calculate all options and send the amount of the cheapest option (likely First Class mail). Thank you!

When you use your own packaging make sure the package is at least 3/4" thick, use stuffing for protection and bulk, and it is very much cheaper than their box for $5 something with tracking. Wishing you good luck with your auction and myself also because I want this one. :):):):). Thanks for the great auction and for being such a great seller too. Denny
