The listing, APOLLO XIII Coin in Case Rare? has ended.
Apollo XIII Coin in Case. Isn't this the mission which crashed? As NASA seems to be dwindling and on the way out, this coin could become more and more valuable.
Questions & Comments
AS a mom of a current Aerospace Engineer college student and worker for the Space Camp, NASA is still thriving, even in the private sector. NASA and space is really big around here (Huntsville, AL) and my daughter went to the International Aeronautical Congress in Italy this past October and NASA has some big plans.
Sorry, Those are the impressions I had from watching the general news media. I just assumed NASA was going over the fiscal cliff like all the rest of us.
I worked for ILC Dover and nasa isnt all about space they also contract oir military and design special equipment. thanks to obama we now have to launch with the russians and spend more money we dont have. what a joke this president is
yes and they make all the latest technology for the medical field. No it's great to start such a topic!!!! My daughter has an internship with Nasa over the summer and cant wait. The pay is excellent also.
Glad to hear it. maybe I should add a little fuel to the fire and say that my Grandfather advocated that we never were on the moon (kind of like the James Bond story and some other conspiracy theories). He was very wise and intuitive and rarely wrong. He knew that Howard Hughes was a recluse and living with long hair and nails long before it was ever reported years later.
I worked for a gentleman who helper create the filter that the astronauts built and used to get back to earth. So I am pretty sure we made it to the moon. I was an aircraft maintenance and know for a fact that those planes can do thing that the common person would not even dream of. I was also on the space shuttle alternate landing recovery team.
It's the same coin, but I didn't post the price for a reason. I'll let you make the choice whether to hide my post and let others do their own homework. Unless yours is gold plated, it's worth what's on the page. I wouldn't tell anyone how to run their auction or belittle their price. Keep it there if you want to. I doubt anybody goes that high, but it might put some doubt in somebody's mind and they'll bid on up. If they don't do their own homework, it's their fault. I learned that early on and it's a valuable lesson to learn, no matter who teaches it to them. Let it ride for awhile. See how high it goes. It really is a piece of history. Hide my comment and let others find their information. It took me about 10 to 15 minutes of hard searching before I found it. :) I don't advocate cheating and I haven't in my auctions. But you posted it and didn't know. There's less than 800 credits now and about 16 hours to go. You're not hurting anybody. Let it ride. You've got less credits than the price of the coin. I hope it does go on up and you get more, because 10% of the GIN price will come out of the credits you already have if nobody takes it. Just leave it be and get your credits. Or you'll lose 10,000 credits just on the GIN price. I should have kept my mouth shut. :/ Message_newer_off Message_older
