This used and cancelled 3 cent stamp commemorates 125 years of rail transportation. It names the B&O Railroad, the first railroad to be chartered in the US as a common carrier of passengers and freight. The first successful U.S-built steam locomotive also ran its first public trials on B&O tracks. Issued in 1952.
