Fun! I think the blue thing is used for marking (maybe with transfer paper?). Maybe someone else knows more. Ha ha. If you find any old fashion snaps laying around, I need some of those, too. ; )

JJNW is right. The blue thing is used to trace dots on to cloth with tracing paper so the pattern can stay whole and not be cut. but I'm after that bodkin so its a bidding war :)
