Other than a tiny crease on the corner, it's pretty much new (we already owned this book when we got it as a gift). The author and artist of The Very Hungry Caterpillar wrote this very sweet and simple book which introduces kids to different animals, the parts of the body, and beautiful artwork! I especially love this book because it's the first one my eldest read "all by himself"! The story is kept simple and it repeats itself, giving kids the confidence to predict what is coming next.
