FACTS ABOUT OUR JEWELLERY
PILGRIM jewellery is made primarily of brass or zinc. It is first plated with copper and then with 16 to 22 carat gold or 925 sterling silver. We use stones including SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, semi-precious stones and glass stones. We also use natural and freshwater pearls. All PILGRIM jewellery is 100% nickel-free and each item is handmade.


WEAR AND TEAR

Many factors influence the wear and tear of jewellery, including sweat, perfume, hairspray, alcohol and medicine consumption, body imbalance, stress, air pollution and others. These factors provoke a chemical reaction in the metal, which can be seen in the form of oxidizing. All gold and silver oxidize, and because PILGRIM jewellery is plated with genuine gold and silver, it will oxidize over time, i.e. become darker.
The oxidizing may be transferred to the skin. If you experience a change in the above factors, the transference will likely disappear. As a result, you can often wear the jewellery at a later time, without the transference.
Crystals and leather cannot tolerate any form of chemicals. We recommend that you clean your jewellery after use if it has been in contact with chlorine, perfume, hairspray or sweat.
We recommend that you do not sleep, shower/bathe or participate in sport while wearing jewellery.
