THERE ARE #s and a word may have the stamp of the co.? i cant make the stamps out though. there are stamps on each side of the inside of this ring. i will try to get the close up pics of the stamps...i am sorry i can't tell exactly what it says..i know it has never tarnished nor had any issues with water oe sun. thanks for commenting.;)

plain unglazed ceramic will do the same, just lightly mark on the ceramic, if it turns black it isnt real gold.

for future reference, take concealer and put it on your arm let it dry then take foundation powder and lightly cover same area then take the ring across it. if you get a solid black line it is gold the darker the better.

When you say "real" stones, do you mean real diamond as in a mined diamond & not man made?

I mean they have a uncultured loot look fake at all. they are k..i truly know the garnets are not factory or simulated. and there is markings inside the ring..i cant tell what the #s read and there is a word next to them..there is markings of #s on right and left of the inside i will try to take a close up of those...thanks for commenting..;)

Ok...i see what you mean. well if i had the info earlier..i could have tried these tips out;) i will do these next time. i feel pretty sure on this one,like i sid it has seen 3 different generations and has no tarnish at all. if anything it is plated. still so pretty though. i want someone to win it that can wear it. and that will give it a good home;)lol..it is to pretty to not get the attention it deserves. i switched to wearing silver last year. so glad i found this site;).ty for all your commenting;)

i am going to say honestly i think it plated with real gold and the diamonds i am not 100% sure on. personally i can't make out the stamps on the ring. i just know the facts on the peice and the the way it h as held its' luster over all these years. i am not one to lie just to get rid of such a nice piece of jewelry. if you bid,as i stated in other comments..you are making your own mind on the chances. i can not say the diamonds are or are not.just going on the look compared to a cz stone,which they do not look fake. i am no expert either. howeer i feel if it were not genuine something would have damaged over the years. thanks for asking;)

to comment on is it amethyst..no. when you hold it up to the light the stones are a purple hue yet red. and they have not had any touch ups done.this ring is oer 8 years old;) and still looks gorgeous. my grandma wore it,my mother, and i have. i lost weight over the year and can not wear it anymore. also i want someone to enjoy this piece.it now sits in my jewelry container and i hate something gorgeous not getting the attention it deserves...i am not a jewelry expert,yet i know if a ring last this long without any fades or turning someone green it is a great item to have on your finger;) so on that note please note that i noted i can not make all the stamps out. yet i wouldn't want negative feeds so i try to speak with the truth and what i know from the piece when worn. thanks again. if you take a chance and win..i trust you would not regret;)
