These are real Porcupine quills for beading, jewelry making or whatever you want to use them for. Porcupine quills are hollow but unless you buy them cleaned and treated they don't recommend using them. These were specially ordered so they have went through the treatment process. These actually are easy to work with, but you can poke yourself good if your not careful. The tips of these quills are black and they are beautiful for jewelry or anything you use them with. I cannot find the color of these quills to purchase anymore. Everyone wants to dye everything anymore, and these are the natural color of the quills, but they have been treated. Thank you.
